'Big Bird' - SOLD

Biggy is a classic Irish bred mare. A lovely horse to work with, she has an adorable character and really knows her job. She jumps for fun, is honest and straightforward to a fence with plenty of scope and power. She will be a fantastic amateur showjumper, or would also do well in the hunting field.

Big Bird is an Irish Sports Horse by Aldatus Z, out of a Cruising mare.


Tequila Slammer - SOLD

16h, 4 years old, TB, mare 

Boo is an instant favourite with everyone in the yard, her personality is positively infectious! She has a great attitude to work and is showing a lot of ability cross country, but we'd be happy to just let her cuddle up in the living room... She is eligible for all RoR classes, having raced in Britain, and is the perfect compact event horse. She retired fit and well from racing with no injuries, simply wasn't fast enough. Boo has been XC schooling, hacking, and jumped a course of fence. She is ready to be taken on and start to go out and compete. Ideal project to event 2017, or aim at 5 year old event classes.

Boo is by Papal Bull, son of Montjeu.


Harmonie - SOLD

16.3hh. 4 year old, gelding

Brusck came to D&L at the end of the 2015 season. He had just arrived from Holland and his presence and talent were immediately obvious. He has huge elevated paces, excellent jumping technique and a great attitude. He was broken in the spring and is proving to be a really star. We can wait to see where his talent will take him.

Brusck is by Ultimo, son of Phin Phin (Chin Chin) out of a Burgraaf (Langraaf) mare.  


Lander van het Heeske - Sold

Lander has been sold to American Event Rider Liz Halliday-Sharp. We wish them all the best and can't wait to see him out eventing next season. We hope to still keep you updated with their progress!

Everybody's favourite D&L resident! Lander has it all: flashy paces, bags of scope, excellent confirmation and a kind, trainable temperament. He was broken in early 2015 and taken to a number of local venues for experience. Lander qualified for the BYEH Finals by winning his class. He performed very well in the finals sadly missing out on the top ten by a few marks in a very competitive class. 

This horse has everything to go to the top in any discipline. Hacks alone and in company, good to shoe, box, clip etc. No vices.

Lander is bred to be a winner. His sire, Esprilio, is by the top showjumping stallion Diamant de Semilly and out of a mare by the great Baloubet du Rouet. His dam is by Parco, a son of the great Darco, and goes back to Saluut through her dam-line.


Nancy - SOLD

16.1hh, 5 year old, mare

A new favourite around the yard, Nancy is the perfect horse for an amateur who want to produce their own top eventer or showjumping horse. She has a lovely laid-back, trainable temperament, while still being forward and keen to work. A really sweet mare to have on the yard, she is easy to do at all times, has promising paces and scope to jump. She is never silly, or spooky, hacks well and just loves to please. 

 

Nancy is by Contandor, by the famous Cassini I (Capitol I, Capitano) and whos dam was by the great Landgraaf. She is out of an Irish Sports Horse mare by Crannagh Hero.


Gucci - SOLD

16.1hh, 7 year old, mare 

Isn't she beautiful?! A real traditional stamp of a horse. Gucci has had a bit of a slow start in life, but is ready to take on the world! She is a nice mover with very comfortable paces and a powerful jump. Straightforward and brave to a fence, she has a great attitude to her job. Has been XC schooling, very brave and honest.

Gucci is currently jumping a course of 90cm very happily and is ready for someone to produce her further.

Gucci has excellent Irish breeding. By Cougar, son of Cruising, she is out of a mare by the Irish Draught stallion Glidawn Diamond (King of Diamonds).


Buddy - SOLD

Everybody's favourite jumping schoolmaster, Buddy never fails to put a smile on our face when jumping! Safe, sane and sensible with quality, scope and beautiful paces. He goes off any stride and does the hard work for your picking the right spot. Buddy would be the perfect partner for a competitive amateur showjumper or a novice looking to get into the sport. He has previously competed to Foxhunter and evented to BE100.

Paloma - SOLD

Top quality British bred mare with excellent bloodlines including Sandro B (Sandro Hit) on her sire's side, out of a TB mare. Lovely compact model with great conformation. Beautiful Irish Sports Horse gelding. JJ has had a late start in life, he was competed lightly as a five year old and turned away due to lack of time. He is straightforward to ride on the flat and jumping, and he is showing good potential over fences. He has been XC schooling and is proving to be very brave. He is very talented and now requires an experienced rider to bring him on. He has one small sarcoid on his belly that does not affect him, hence price.
